Design Drawing

In Design Drawing, we learned the basics of perspective and shadows when drawing an object or element. Overall the hardest class I have taken so far. Although hard, it was still fun seeing how my drawings did have a 3d aspect when looking at them.

Design Drawing was divided by 4 projects:

Project 1 - Letters & Objects

After learning some the drawing basics, such as cubes, pyramids, and spheres, we had to draw some letters and objects of our choosing while drawing it with perspective. We used 2 vanishing points.

Project 2 - Letters & Objects + Shadow & Shade

Just like the past project, we needed to draw both letters and objects, but now both with shadows and shading. We were given Copic Markers to shade, but I did a mix of both Copic and normal shading with a pen.

Project 3 - In-Depth Object

For this project, we were given a list of objects we could pick from to make our drawings from. I had originally chosen a box cutter, but then chose a gameboy. Also, after using the Copic Markers to shade, I found that I preferred using a pencil to shade.

Project 4 - Stapler

For the final project of this class, we had to pick any object, of which I chose a stapler, and create redesigns of our chosen object.
